What? You had not heard? No mention by the Commie Media? No statement or celebration from the White House? Nobody from the DNC? Any Democrat in Congress?

Now isn’t that strange…… I mean, this was the signature accomplishment of the Obama Administration — well, until he decides to blame somebody else for it. The Left has been after this for half a century. This was the culmination of more than a year of cheating; stealing; hiding; having the Center for American Progress write the bill in secret; holding locked-door, Democrats-only sessions; bribing; race-baiting; blackmailing; lying; blaming. I’m certain high-earning Americans (aka, “the rich”) got blamed for something or other, although I don’t have a specific recollection of it. It’s hard to imagine the Democrats pushing a major bill without blaming the rich for something. These activities are the most fun a Democrat ever has, other than directly spending your money, or dictating to you when and where you may practice your religion.

At the time it passed, the Commie Media burst forth with such fanfare and worship as was never seen even by Douglas MacArthur (or King Arthur, for that matter). Every Democrat who could find an open mic was predicting a future awash in fuzzy puppies, pink butterfly rainbows, sparkly hearts, glittery guppies, pink ponies, and fairy dust. Did I forget to mention unicorns? Lots of unicorns. Whole herds of unicorns. Poverty (and those evil racist Republicans) had been vanquished. Obama could go home and spend (more) quality time with his Nobel Peace Prize. Dodd, Franks, and Conrad could go back to the serious business of pillaging the treasures of Fannie, Freddie, and Countrywide.

So, um, why no big events? No for-the-Democrat-rich-only soirees at the White House with private screenings of pre-release movies? No celebrity concerts? No photo op with the Wookie, while she snaps an evil Twinkie out of the hand of a grubby little fly-over-country bitter-clinger child? [you know that off-camera, she is shooting that Twinkie down with a three-fingers-tall whole milk chaser]

Well OK, after taking a very close look I see that Stretch Pelosi gave a go today at defending ObamaCare in an Op-Ed in the SF <strike>Crock</strike> Chronicle. Politico gave ObamaCare a passing mention, and Daily <strike>Kook</strike> Kos ran with it front and center, as did the crazies at TPM. It’s good to know, I guess, that the fanatics still keep the fire burning for the cause of Totalitarianism. After all, Commies all across America still fly their colors high on May Day and Labor Day ( the September version of May Day). So hey guys, keep sniffing whatever you are sniffing. We need you around to remind us of the worst possibilities of letting the Left have their way.

But really. Not even Krazy Krugman, the delusional economist to end all delusional economists, would touch ObamaCare today; instead, he was busy calling Republicans crazy for intoning that Obama’s policies had anything to do with high gas prices. While still crazy, it was about as far from mentioning ObamaCare as he could get.

So, since the Democrats won’t mention it, and the Democrat Commie media won’t mention it, I will:

Congratulations, Commies!!!

Congratulations on increasing the cost and regulatory burdens of health care for everybody in America. Congratulations on an economy-killing nightmare of a Big Brother society. Congratulations on stealing $500 billion in Medicare from America’s seniors (and then running ads about how Republicans were throwing granny off a cliff).

Especially congratulations are due for the supreme electoral butt-kicking you got in November 2010, thanks in large part to the passage of ObamaCare. You really, truly earned that one. Congratulations on getting more than half the states to defy you and file lawsuits to have ObamaCare tossed out. And more congratulations for what is going to happen to you in November 2012. More importantly for what is going to happen in January 2013 because of what happens in November 2012.

One thing you can count on. The day the new Republican president signs the full repeal of Obamacare, THAT is a day I will celebrate every year. While you Commies DIAF, I’ll roast marshmallows over that fire. And I’ll eat them, and lick my fingers, one at a time. Would a Klingon do less?

Alexa Shrugs breaks it down detail by detail here. In summary:

The slut is actually a hard-core activist FemiNazi who chose to go to a Catholic university for the express purpose of forcing Georgetown to change its policies.

The MainLeft Media™ have gone into 5-alarm hysterics over Rush calling the slut a slut. By contrast, they never bothered to take notice of (and in fact actively contributed to) countless incidents of deeply personal smearage against right-side women such as Sarah Palin, Michelle Malkin, Laura Ingraham, Michele Bachmann, and loads of others.

Carbonite was put on the map by its advertising relationship with Rush Limbaugh.

The Carbonite CEO and co-founder is an Obama donor named David Friend.

Over the weekend, in response to the flap over the slut parading her views nationwide, and Rush calling her a slut, Carbonite ended its advertising relationship with Rush. He referred to the activist commie slut agitator as “courageous and well-intentioned”.

Shockingly (not really) Carbonite has not ended their relationship with small-time Air America reject and current MSNBC moron Ed Schultz, who has, on air, called Laura Ingraham a slut, even though she never once made her sexual life a matter of public record, and certainly never tried to steal the religious freedom of a whole class of people she disagreed with.

So, I am not the first to suggest that we all let the free market dictate the success or failure of a business. Nor am I the first to say that anybody who has any principles at all should dump Carbonite. I am just adding my voice, and a graphic, to the many.

Carbonite, GFY, pal. And in case you thought it was a shrewd business move, let me just suggest that Rush listeners have jobs, and Ed Shultz listeners do not. Perhaps you are betting that the exodus of good paying customers who quit you for what you did will be replaced by an equal number of good customers who have their snouts in the government trough? Yeah, good luck with that.

Day after day I watch what is happening in the Magical Pixie Dust Realm of the Beltway Republican. I ask myself, how can people with college degrees be that stupid? [I know, I know.... college....] Seriously, who keeps these people from putting their underwear on outside their pants?

In episode 21,598,723 of Establishment Repubs Are Stupid, Mike Barone (brilliant number-cruncher, room temp IQ as an analyst] brings the hammer down on those pesky Tea Partiers who impatiently expected that a Tea-Party-driven nation-wide electoral butt-stomping that included a net +67 in the House would actually…… make a difference in Washington.

They believe, reasonably, that their victory represented a repudiation of the vast expansion of government by the Obama Democrats. They want to see those policies reversed, and pronto. And if the dilatory Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and the all-campaign-no-governance President Obama want a confrontation, so much the better. Such impatience is unbecoming in those who call themselves “constitutional conservatives.”

Unbecoming? Really? I can see where the tea-and-crumpets crowd might see it that way. No reason to get in a lather here. The Republic is not worth saving if you might break a nail, or get a hair out of place. God forbid you might actually get irked. Or miffed. Or even peeved. Can’t have that. Father of our Constitution James Madison would probably have a whole BF if Republicans couldn’t stick to the “my friends across the aisle” script.

Gas prices threaten all previous highs. Well golly, who knew? No Gulf drilling, no Alaska drilling, no Canada pipeline. Here, buy our government-manufactured electric cars for $30K (after $7k rebate) that goes 30 miles on a charge. I assume His Royal Highness King Barack (h/t AoSHQ) is planning to run and win on his “none of the above” energy policy. Thanks again for taxing the crap out of poor people, and causing (yet even more) unemployment. Why is it again that Repubs think it is such an uphill thing to beat this clown in November? Oh that’s right, the middle will abandon us if we come out with an extreme agenda. Like expanding domestic energy and domestic jobs, limiting government spending and overreach. Scary stuff, that.

Food Nazis! At what point is it the last straw? I dare say, if barack thought he had a prayer of recapturing North Carolina, that’s pretty much blown. And he really, really could not afford to lose NC. VA is already gone (thank you Bob McDonnell), and if Santorum is the nominee (yes, I still hate his guts), there goes PA as well. All these mid-size swing states that SCOAMF won the first time around are disintegrating. I foresee….. what is that… iceberg dead ahead. No help from Pet Repubs, but then I doubt we really need it.

I’ve been chronicling 50 reasons why SCOAMF is not my president. I have listed 67 reasons on a notepad at home.

Let me make a distinction. It’s fair for people to oppose political opponents, even to despise them. I know the Commie Left can thrive wholly on a diet of pure hatred, with a side of venom. It’s fair to hate your opponent’s policies, and do your best within legal means to defeat them.. But it is not fair that based on your opposition, you declare the president “not your president.”

On the other hand, if a president acts lawlessly and illegitimately, or if in word and deed he demonstrates hatred for America, or acts intentionally to do great harm to America, then it’s on like Donkey Kong. He might be somebody else’s president. He is not mine. This jackass in the White House, this TOTUS-puppet vacation-smurfing, golf-ball-shanking skinny little freak, is not my president. Here is the fifth reason of 50.

On January 3, 2011, While both Senate and House were holding pro forma sessions and by design, specifically NOT in recess, barack declared that he was using the recess-appointment authority to appoint 4 people to confirmation-required positions, 3 to the NLRB, and one to some board created by the Dodd-Frank bill.

I am not going to go into the merits of recess appointments, the quality of the individuals in question, what exactly pro forma sessions are (or who started them and why). I am not going to dignify with a response the public statements made by WH Spokesman-Stooge Jay Carney, or WH Communications Director Dan Pfeiffer in defense of this outrageous, illegitimate, and blatantly unconstitutional move. They were laughable and predictable, and I’ll leave it at that. Ditto for the left-blogosphere and the Commie Media Front for the Democrat Party, aka Pravda, aka mainstream media.

I am sticking with the heart of the matter. The President of the United States is sworn into office with this oath:

I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.

Preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution….

A president who took and believed that oath would never, ever make a recess “appointment” when the Senate was not in recess. He would not even contemplate it. I would impeach this clown if I could. This stands alone and does not require any of the other 49 reasons he’s not my president. Boehner and company are unforgivably gutless cowards for letting this stand.

X-Posted at UnifiedPatriots

In the last few days I have been going over some old writings. You know, about 18 months old. It brings to mind how vehemently I disagree with a commonly uttered saying that goes “the people get what they elect”, or “we deserve the government we get”, or something like that.

That is such a load of crap.

America rodeo-stomped the Democrats in November 2010. With the entire media machine, the Democrat machine, and the union machine stacked against us, we blasted them out of the saddle. Not in 72 years had America so thoroughly repudiated the party in power. The victories of Republicans, from national to state to local elections, was virtually unprecedented.

Last I recall, the GOP Establishment (the crowd that James Carville says is a myth) was predicting mild gains, mitigated by the squishy middle’s rejection of those radical Tea Party types. But patriots and Tea Party people, having tasted victory in some small skirmishes, had predicted a much bigger victory. Rather like the one we got.

Americans were rejecting the Obama-led big-government takeover. It was a violent betrayal of the trust given to our elected representatives. Sure, we were very angry, and sure, we wanted retribution for the scourge of BambiCare™, Cap-and-Trade, the Porkulus™, and the foreign policy of appeasement. But it wasn’t just retribution. We were rallying to the Founding Fathers, limited government, maximized freedom, and responsible governance.

We were emphatic. Stop The Democrats. Set America free again.

It was scarcely possible for the American people to do more than we did in November 2010.

So what did we get when we elected this Congress?

During the Lame Duck session before our Freshmen even got there, Boehner and McConnell put out a fire sale, giving away breath-taking concessions to the Democrats.

Immediately after the Freshmen got there in January 2011, Boehner and House leadership, the GOP Establishment, set about beating them down and telling them to get in line. It was a smashing success.

The first serious showdown arrived in March with the so-called government shut-down looming. After a suitable amount of bluster from Boehner and company, the Republicans folded, selling their souls for $67 billion in spending “cuts”, that within days was revealed to be less than $1 billion. The amount of money spent by our government in 2 hours.

It went downhill from there. Time after time after time, House and Senate leadership have folded, if they ever put up a fight at all. Not just in spending. As the Obamanistas have grown ever bolder in making a mockery of the Constitution, Congress has barely whimpered. They are always saving their ammo for the next battle. Now we have come to a point where barack makes illegal recess appointments when Congress is not in recess.

The Republicans do nothing. EPA is running amok, Holder is a veritable Heinrich Himmler and should be in prison already, the Food Nazis are inspecting lunches brought from home by students and rejecting them. In violation of a court order, a de facto moratorium on Gulf drilling remains in place.

What has this Congress done? We are even more in danger of losing our Republic than we were before the 2010 election.

Are you going to stand there and tell me that is the Congress we elected?

Three stories hit the airwaves today concerning Government Motors. Together they make quite a story, not that they tell us anything we didn’t already know.

Decades of union parasitism bring a once-great company to ruin. The Obamanistas step in, buy it, and give control to the same union parasites that ruined it, along with $50 billion of taxpayer money. They cancel most of their debts. So, who wouldn’t make a profit under terms like that?

Oh yeah. Solyndra.

The three stories: GM made a record $7.6 billion profit. Second story: union workers are to get an average $7000 each in profit-sharing bonuses. Third story: no more pension contributions for the salaried (i.e., non-union) employees.

That’s what you get when you put the children in charge. Petty vengeance. Fake profits. The Chevy <strike>Kindle</strike> <strike>Torch</strike> Volt.

So, barack didn’t previously realize just how bad the economy was, and that’s why he can’t pull the economy out of the ditch. That’s supposed to make me vote him in for a second term? Yeah…..no.

Government Food Nazis? Are you kidding me? Along with everything else, now we have government Food Nazis inspecting home-provided school lunches of 4-year old children, ruling them unsuitable, and forcing the kids to eat government-provided chicken nuggets?

I now live in a country where such things are done.

[Mouth open]

[Mouth closed]

[Mouth open]

[Mouth closed]

[Stalks away, shaking head and muttering under his breath....]

Hello peeps, tonight I’m filling in. Pete and Ed are out on the town in Addison, and if there’s anybody who can strike out with hookers on 2-for-1 night, it’s Pete. Regardless, it’s Overnight EPU. What we lack in wit and insight, we more than make up for with insipid meanderings.

On one hand, Barack the Evil is in a low-grade war to stomp out Christianity. The HHS has declared that the “religious employer” exemptions to the tender mercies of BambiCare™do not appply to Catholic Hospitals and clinics. They’ll be forced to provide health insurance that covers contraceptives and abortion-inducing drugs. Obama has also been trying to compel Catholic hospitals to do elective abortions. Eight days ago, on Happy Abortion Day, barack spoke glowingly of how 55 million slaughtered unborn children have helped ensure the rights, freedoms and opportunities of our nation’s (surviving) daughters.

On the other hand there’s Barack the Good yesterday morning at the annual National Prayer Breakfast. In his 2009 address, he mentioned his favorite deity 15 times. In 2010, 10 mentions. With recent news that in state-by-state reckoning he stands to get clobbered, The Boy President™ really larded up his favorite diety with the praise, using the “I” pronoun 44 times, describing himself as an ardently praying man, and proclaiming his class warfare and anti-business regulations were inspired by his faith.

But hey, I’m onto this. (they won’t let that one embed – it’s a MUST watch)

Glasses on = Clark Kent
Glasses off = Superman

Glasses on = mild-mannered reporter
Glasses off = super-hero

At any podium = praying, caring, Jesus-loving, America-loving man
Behind desk = bitter, spiteful, petty, resentful, Jesus-hating, America-hating man.

Lois, and Americans, will never know his secret…..

I’m trying hard to imagine how……..excited [I guess?]…..the Romney constituents are feeling tonight after the wholly expected 47-32 win over Newt in the Florida primary today. For starters, I find it hard [impossible?] to see how anybody is excited about Romney. Are there seriously people who have caught the Mittens Magic, who go to bed dreaming of gumdrop rainbows and sparkly butterfly kisses, sighing to themselves “I can’t wait for President Romney to take office so he can [<strike>change the course of America</strike>] [<strike>at least repeal Obamacare</strike>] perhaps not lift up his skirts for unions and terrorists like the current White House resident…”

I can only see, with my limited redneck Texas brain, that the only thing the Mittster has going for him is the “electability” mythology. Nobody is inspired by Mitt. But enough people have bought into the thought that only a moderate who makes few mistakes can stand a chance against the unbeatable Obama machine [yeah, 10% unemployment, Obamacare, bowing to terrorists, whatever...]. Republicans are conditioned, by generations of cowardice, not to leave the prison, even when the gate is wide open as it is now.

Yeah, so he just won Florida, snowbird RINO heaven. Yawn…… Signifying nothing. The South and the Midwest beckon, and we’ll see how the squishy Northeast surrender monkey mentality plays..

So anyway, all you fans of Flipper Goodhair, are you doing cartwheels tonight? Or did you just say to yourself, smugly, perhaps ho-hum-ly, “well hey, looks like sanity is taking over and we won’t be committing suicide by running any of those crazy gun-toting, Bible-thumping conservatives. I think I’ll crack open another sherry and celebrate with some cheese and crackers.”

I can tell you that when Rick Perry was running, and was an early leader, I could picture a President Perry kicking terrorist asses, jamming the commie media’s faces down toilets, and laying waste to this government leviathon with a vengeance. You can bet I was excited at what might commence Jan 20, 2013. Which reminds me, all you morons who tossed Rick in the dumpster because of early debate performances, you can still have a wheelbarrow full of KissMyAss™. I got plenty. As you ponder the remaining 3 candidates and see flaws, weaknesses, lack of resume, lack of conservative conviction, and lack of inspiration, and as you bemoan the lack of quality candidates, I hand you your sign.

It says “Punch me. I have a brain charleyhorse”.

All this talk of Mittens and his tax returns, and somehow forking out a good annual $3M from your own earnings is not enough.

Really now. Half of Americans pay no taxes (or less) every year. Meanwhile Romney pays enough tax, every stinking year, to :

buy 150 Chevy Silverado pickups and give them to the government.

buy 10 fully decked out, high-tech armored presidential limos and give them to the government.

buy 3 specially outfitted and armored, made-in-Canada presidential bus-tour buses and give them to the government.

Pay for 8 extra-special vacations for Moo and 40 of her closest friends in Spain, renting out 30 rooms in a 5-star Med coast resort. Every year. Yes. Eight trips like that. Right out of Mitt’s pocket.

pay for 30 times, at $100k a pop, that Moo can leave 4 hours early to go on vacations ahead of Bambi.

Fund the operations of the entire US government for 25 seconds.

How many 5-star vacations do you have to fund for moo, out of your own pocket, before you’ve paid your fair share? And all you clowns at HuffPo, WaPo, and the alphabet networks, who are all over Mitt’s back about it, how many vacations for Moo have you paid for?

I am guessing AZ Governor Jan Brewer got the best of Bambi in that little tete-a-tete on the tarmac. She’s got her finger up his nose in widely circulated pictures. Plus, Bambi has always played second fiddle to the strong broads in his life.

So, it irks me a little that I thought of this first, but didn’t put it in print. I certainly thought of it before Rush brought it up, but hey, anyway. All this talk of Mittens and his tax returns, and somehow it’s not enough. But last night Macho Bambi got his stupid on and went on and on about how Warren Buffet’s secretary paid more taxes than Warren Buffet did. I say BS. Let’s see HER taxes, and for that matter, let’s see Mister Buffet’s too. I bet Buffet pays his personal secretary well up into the low $100k range, putting her into a fairly high tax bracket herself.

Now, how about this. Government Motors puts out these electric cars that nobody buys, the Chevy <strike>Volt</strike> Spark. They go up like flaming kababs in the crash tests. That fact is reported to the NHTSA very, very late after the fact. Then the Obama NHTSA investigates Obama Motors, finding no problem, and the Obama Media finds nothing remarkable about the entire affair. Nothing to see here, folks.

If you travel back a couple of years in your way back time machine you may remember perhaps the matter of Toyota, and the specious claims of “unintended acceleration” in the Prius. The dumbest of all the dumb cabinet members in the dumbest administration ever, DOT Secretary Ray LaHood, got in front of cameras and told Toyota drivers that they should not even drive their Prius to the dealership to get it looked at, but should have it towed, since the danger was so great. When Toyota refused to roll over and die like other Obama enemies, LaHood fined Toyota $16M due to failure to report and act on anecdotal and ultimately discredited claims. Yeah, that’s equal protection under the law.

So, did you hear that on Roe v Wade Day, there were 200,000 right-to-life marchers in Washington? No? Really? I bet you did hear about the dozens of smelly OWS idiots there at the same time. Nice going, Commie Media.

Oh good grief. I assume nobody took that SOTU seriously. Except, apparently, Lawrence O’Donnell, who wants to bear Barry’s love child. Or sire it. I’m not sure how that works out between those two. Anyway, he says it was the best speech he ever saw. Tell you what, next time I lose a pool match by scratching on the 8-ball, I want a stiff shot of whatever Larry has been drinking.

I didn’t watch or listen, just watched the twitter thing go like crazy while I was doing other stuff. And I gotta tell you, twitter was fun. Conservatives are not nice people.

So, in other shocking news Teh Krugman over at Tass wants to see more Romney tax records. He goes on for a couple of paragraphs about why (I kind of lost track of whatever point he was making), and closes with “Yes, my tax rate is a lot higher than Romney’s. And I support policies that would raise it further.” Paul, did you ever have the slightest interest in Obama’s financial dealings with Tony Rezco? Not really? Then how about a nice steaming cup of STFU. But I will note that if a Pulitzer Prize winning economics professor is not able to take advantage of various shelters, instruments, deductions, and write offs found somewhere in 500,000 pages of tax code so he doesn’t get a 35% bite taken out of his income, then that guy is kind of a dumbass, isn’t he?

I would like to see if Krugman could run an unsubsidized hot dog stand for more than two weeks. I seriously doubt it. And I’d really NOT like to see him actually take over a business that had more than a single employee. That would cost somebody a job. I think if you get his ilk outside of their fishbowl world where stuff behaves according to their simplistic religion, their clinical reality goes splat up against the real dirty world.

Sort of like Communism.

Well, let’s get the 273rd “debate” of the season discussed and dismissed. Honestly, why the candidates subject themselves to another in a long line of charades put on by the Commie media wing of the Commie party, hosted for the purpose of discrediting all things American and conservative…..oh, I remember now. We can thank the RNC and The Mad Puppy Priebus, who has his nose so far up the major partisan media’s ass it must tickle their throats. Nice, now that there’s only four candidates left, that Brian still holds them to 30 second answers.

To sum up all the memorable moments of this sound-bite contest…..

So ok, next topic. It’s a bit in the past, but a thought or two on the attention-getting South Carolina victory by Professor ShinyObject over Flipper Goodhair, HWESOT (He who endorsed Specter over Toomey), and Captain Crazypants. The waters of SC for the second consecutive time are home to the shipwreck tombs of the two men who should have been the nominee and president. That’s Fred Thompson and Rick Perry, for those not quick on the uptake. Thanks for nothing, jerks. Nobody likes you, did I ever tell you that?

That said, it is at least some consolation that the voters of Stupid Carolina did muster up enough of the Tea Party spirit to make the GOP Establishment their prison bitch. Boehner, McConnell, Rove, National Review, Weekly Standard, all you surrender monkeys, take THAT! No reacharaound for you, pal.

I know, I previously said this was Perry’s all the way, from day 1. Don’t want to talk about that, and screw all of you. It should have happened. But now that it hasn’t, I’ll come out with this. Gingrich has this nomination, and it won’t go till the convention. Not because he’s all that — he has his assets, and in the absence of Perry and Cain, I can live with him — but this has much more to do with the party base, aka the Tea Party, rejecting, resoundingly, the orders handed down from the Elite. There will be no more of that, possibly ever. Gingrich’s #1 asset happens to be a truly right-place, right-time thing. Possibly the biggest gripe (but there are so many….) of the party faithful is that we nominate mealy-mouth wussies who won’t challenge the Dems either in the election, or in governance if they win. With all Newt’s faults, he is genuinely gifted at taking the whip out, and laying the leather on the bad guys. That resonates to a depth that the Establishment simply can’t comprehend. It’s because they are idiots. GOP Establishment, heeeeeeere’s your sign.

Newt will bury Obama in a massive landslide, and that’s even counting the cheating that the Commies will do on a wholesale scale. Perry would have won by that much too, drawl and stumbling rhetoric and all. For different reasons — his genuine conservatism and stunningly awesome track record with economy, chiefly. So screw all of you who swallowed the “he can’t debate” meme and decided Perry could not beat Obama. I have a whole cargo plane full of Kiss My Ass, and you can have a wheelbarrow full of it free. My treat. Nah, no need to thank me, it’s what I do.

Btw, Newt will be bringing the coattails with him too. +15 in the House (making it 257-178), and +10 in the Senate (making it 57-43 Repubs). Sounds crazy?

Lest you think my predictive rants are just so much gas. I am the guy who said, way back in July of 2009 (Before the TP emerged as a force, and before the war to stop BambiCare went nuclear) that we would do +80/+10 in the 2010 midterms. Sure, we only did +63/+7 (lost a bet by not getting the 80). But remember, I said that, over at LordOfTheFliesville, when most of the smart-guy Elites viewed as probably unattainable the +39 that would give us the majority, and figured on +3 in the Senate. Mine was a lonely voice in the summer of 09. That was before the crazy August recess, before Scott Brown. In fact, I predicted the August recess thing (that would be the townhalls from hell, ICYMI).

Expect those coattails, just like 2010, to go down to the state houses too. America has had it with the big government thing. This backlash is officially underway, and it’s not a temper tantrum, it’s not ill-advised and rash. It’s eminently practical, as Wisconsin has shown us so well.

Listen to Pete. If we get our relatively conservative nominee, you can book that +15/+10.

James Carville, Democrat spin specialist and regular appearer on either CNN or MSLSD or both (why would I care, Tweetle Dumb and Tweetle Dumber Networks), offers some thoughts he calls Memo to the Republican Establishment.

He claims, in short, not to be very clear on who is this “Republican Establishment” that conservatives seem to dredge up as a boogey man of sorts. But that is just his introduction. His main point is to say our primary season has been a disaster, and that the result – seemingly that Gingrich has this thing in a walk — is all bad, bad, bad, and we are all stupid, stupid, stupid, and that he is happy, happy, happy.

Well, you see he’s a spin guy for the Democrats. That’s his job. What exactly would you expect him to say?

So read the article, It has all the substance of helium balloon. Let’s see:

I’m a GOP Establishment denier. I don’t even see a divide between what the GOP voters want, and what the ass-clowns they voted for in Washington are doing.

In order to choose a candidate more conservative than the one being pushed by this non-existent GOP Establishment, voters have settled on a guy who has dings on his record, as opposed to Barack “Bill Ayers Solyndra Fast Furious Drilling Moratorium Ten Percent Unemplyment New Black Panthers Trillions In New Debt Bow To DIctators Thats Not A War In Libya Illegal Appointments Extravagant Vacations Ninety Golf Outings Cant Talk Without A Teleprompter” Obama, whose record is all shiny and still has that new smell.

Yeah, whatever, Coon Ass.

Yesterday, I got an email from Harry Reid’s personal prison girlfriend, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, moaning with fake outrage over Bambi’s illegal and invalid non-recess appointments, statements to the effect of this sort of thing shouldn’t be allowed. The letter asked me to sign a petition in order to send Obama a message, and to demand no more executive power grabs.

Really, Mitch? Shouldn’t be allowed? There’s no shouldn’t be allowed when the president makes 4 recess appointments when the Senate is not in recess. It’s NOT allowed. Here’s a message you could send the emperor-in-diapers: no more executive power grabs, STARTING WITH THIS ONE. There’s no next time. That’s like saying, “Hey mister, next time you rape my daughter, I’m gonna have something pretty strong to say about it.” No. There’s no discussion, no strong words, and there’s certainly no need to get all your friends to sign a petition. There’s no next time; you spill his guts and you do it today, because it’s not allowed this time. The only message you send is to his surviving family members, and to society, that some things are simply not allowed.

This affront to the plain language of the Constitution is so egregious that it’s worth going to war over, live or die. Particularly because this is just the newest outrage in an ever-emboldened administration that has not the slightest respect for the rule of law, much less consent of the governed. Obama has shown that he will go as far as you let him. If we let him get away with this, then it will start to get very serious, very quickly from here on out.

Over the last year or two, Mitch has delivered a number of strongly worded messages: we’re not going to allow the Democrats to raise the debt ceiling without deep spending cuts; we’re not going to stand for a de facto moratorium on Gulf drilling; we’re not going to allow the EPA to implement Cap-and-Trade by fiat. Uh huh. Yes, you keep hitting them with that purse, Alice, and eventually they’ll get the message. You know how to send that message? Not with some stupid online petition, which is probably attached to a fund raising website. You send it growing a pair of balls.

It’s very possible that early in this administration, a rolled up newspaper smacked across the mouth might have kept them in line. Now it’s far, far past the time when demanding decent behavior is practical. You have to brutally, boldly take action. And if you die, you die. You swore an Oath to 310 million people that you would protect and defend the Constitution, not swing a purse at the bad guy who takes a match to it. I’d say it was your move.

I don’t think I know every weapon in the available arsenal of the Senate Minority Leader with a 47 head count. But I know you have to put the purse down and look for things that go boom. At this point, I don’t really care what is practical, what is wholly supported by the law or by precedent, or what helps or hurts the electoral prospects of anybody. You have a job that you swore an Oath to do. So here’s the kinds of things that come to mind for me.

Shut down all Senate business, every single iota of it, until the invalid apppointments are rescinded. Specirfically pass a resolution (in the House anyway) stating that these appointments are considered legally null and void in every possible way. Get in front of mics every day of every week, and tell the public why you are doing it and why it is so important. Be sure to generously use that word INVALID. It is a simple word, but packed with authority and meaning.

If it’s legal (or even if it’s not), send that Senate Sergeant at Arms (or the House guy) over to wherever these 4 clowns are officed, eject them from their offices, padlock their offices and declare that the seating of these people in that office will be considered in Contempt of Congress.

Whatever you can defund, do it. Now. Wherever you can cause checks to not be written, do it. Collateral damage, when it comes to unionized government employees, frankly does not hurt my feelings all that much.

While you are doing that, file that emergency injunction with the Supreme Court, to order the executive branch to cease and desist on those appointments. I dont believe that crap about standing requiring that the first ruling by an invalid NRLB commissioner “harm” somebody. Use just a tiny bit of intellectual power. The Senate has standing, in that they are “harmed” when an express violation of a clearly stated Article of the Constitution denies the Senate their right to Advise and Consent to a nominee, when not in recess. Is there no precedent for that? Establish one. Already been tried? Try it again, and force SCOTUS to tell America that Bambi can openly flout the Constitution, and not even the Senate can stop him, on a technicality.

If results are not immediate, then you start playing hard ball. Impeachment is actually designed for exactly this kind of thing, when a president has completely fogotten that his powers are not plenary. The fact that you think it is political suicide is not my problem. The fact that the impeachment trial will not succeed is also not my problem. The fact that you think it will cost us huge in the election is both wrong and not my problem. You swore an Oath.

But maybe it won’t come down to impeachment if you make your stand by shutting down the Senate.

So, my question to you, Mitch, is this. Are you a public servant or not? Is there ever a time, in your estimation, that defending the Constitution is more important than comity, or than your own personal ends? I guarantee that the 4,977 soldiers we’ve lost so far in Iraq and Afghanistan did not give their lives so Bambi could stomp on the Constitution and you would stand there and register your protest.

********************************************************

I know that many of you reading this will react by saying “you can’t do that” or “not tenable”, or some other objection based on political calculation. Fine, you be you. So, what imperial act will be that final straw for you? What if they cheat on the election? What if, right in front of people, they cart in boxloads of ballots, and count them? What if they cheat by 5 million votes? What if they “deem passed” cap and trade, or card check? Take over the energy industry? Sieze our 401k’s? (and there’s been serious talk about that) If we dont stop this now, and I mean refuse delivery, then very quickly this will descend to a point where our choices are between serfdom, a real revolution, or secession.

I really do understand that in the immediate term, we might not be able to unseat these 4 invalid appointees. But to not try is to surrender. We’ve done enough of that, and that is how we got where we are. If the American people punish us for digging in and fighting for the right thing here, then so be it. We lose our country one way or the other, don’t we? But better to go out like the Alamo than to surrender and survive to see the Republic end. I am personally persuaded that if we go big and go loud in this fight, the American people will, contrary to Beltway logic, go huge for us in the 2012 elections, from top to bottom. Media twisting, spinning, and bleating cannot defeat a bold stand on this matter.

First off, the huge losers in the debate were the left-wing ABC moderators: George Stephanopoulos, former Clinton administration senior advisor, who brought an agenda that was so persistently left-oriented and focused on inconsequential matters that the moderate audience came to routinely boo him as the night wore on; and aging warhorse Diane Sawyer, hanging on for dear life to her chair, who may have managed to top her recent stunningly effective drunk-moderating performance. One entire 20-minute stretch was focused on sex, gay “marriage” [those scare quotes again...], contraception, and abortion, and devolved into such silliness that the candidates revolted against Stephy for pursuing such ridiculous topics when the economy and foreign policy were clearly the important matters of the day.

It had to be obvious, even to uninformed and neutral watchers that never pay attention to anything, that ABC came with an agenda to frame the debate in a way that made it difficult for Republicans to take aim at Obama. It was obvious because the Republican candidates called it out in so many words. Gingrich particularly asked why the media never, ever ask why the Obama administration conducts open war on Catholic hospitals and Catholic charities.

Several candidates performed admirably. Romney, Gingrich, and Perry were frankly magnificent. Santorum was in the spotlight for the first time, and for a flawed and one-dimensional candidate did pretty good. But he was exposed, and he was dinged some. RuPaul was given enough rope, and he did what was expected in that regard. Huntsman did alright. We certainly got a good look at him for the first time.

As a noted Perry bigot, I want to offer a few points:

For a guy who is polling in the 5-10% range and can’t seem to gain any traction in that area, it sure is something the way he puts forth an idea in a debate, and every candidate feels compelled to respond. Along with all of his other (considerable) assets, add to it this: when he walks into a room, the other big sticks defer to him. This is a quality that nobody ever scorecords, but is tremendously important in actually governing. While pundits love to pontificate about who has the best position on this issue, and who has favorability numbers for that demographic, none of that speaks to how effective a guy will be at moving his agenda. On that stage, I can tell you that a President Santorum, Paul, and Huntsman have no power to persuade Congress or to direct bureaucracies. Romney might, and Gingrich would. But Perry stands head and shoulders above them all. When he calls Boehner and McConnell (ugh! but the sad reality is that those two will be Speaker and Majority Leader) into his office and presents a plan, those two will leave the office knowing what their job is, and will do it. Notice the contrast in this regard to Obama, who even with 60-40 majorities in both Houses for two years, never led. He totally let Pelosi and Reid do all the lifting, while all he did, really, was make sure he knew where the parade was going so he could stay in front. He was content to sit behind his desk and proclaim what bills he thought ought to be presented to him so he could sign.

The stumbling, fumbling Perry of the early debates is long, long gone. He has been magnificent now for several debates.

His early image as a debate bumbler persists, but if he ever gets that second look that he is asking for — and Santorum will certainly sink, perhaps giving Perry that opening — and he can gain a little traction, he will come from fifth place and run the table. His other assets — huge warchest, astounding resume as 12-year governor of Texas, focus on jobs, energy, and strong defense, and solidly conservative credentials — will snowball. Voters are looking for a not-Romney to emerge between (at one time) Cain, Perry, Bachmann, Santorum, Gingrich. Now it is down to Santorum, Gingrich, and Perry. Perry’s assets totally dominate the other two. If voters start to notice, he will win the not-Romney semifinal, then he will wipe out Romney too (which either he, Gingrich, or Cain would have easily done), sending the GOP Establishment to the hell they deserve.

Tata, ladies.

These invalid “recess” “appointments”

Get used to it. I like “scare quotes”.

My tattooed friend notes that We have to use the rules, the libs just do whatever the *^$# they desire. And he doesn’t say that “we” means me and my tattooed friend “have to use the rules”. [There is that scare quote thing. Ok seriously, I will try to cut back] He means our beloved squishy gutless Republicans in Washington feel like they can’t get their hands dirty playing hardball, or even not being nicey-nicey with those dirty corn-holer Democrats in Washington, because the press will blame Repubs for everything (true enough) and the “independent voters” [sorry, did it again] will turn away from us for being contentious or whatever.

Whatever, douche bags. Well, that is the thing – at this point, to play by the rules and do the right thing means IMPEACHMENT.

And they won’t do it. Previously, playing by the rules meant filibustering judges and appointments (like Holder, Kagan, Sotomayor) who were clearly, nakedly unqualified or unfit due to the inability to conduct their business within the Constitutional role called for, and the Repbus didn’t do that either. “A [Democrat] president is entitled to his appointments”, according to Lindsey “Ben Dover” Graham. It would have taken *some* amount of guts at that time to do the right thing, according to the rules.

So by failing to play by the rules then, they box themselves into a corner where there is now no longer an acceptable choice. Either go nuclear legally (impeach), or by blackmail (shut down all business in the Senate and.or House), or go extra-legal (what options are there? I don’t know – the citizens doing some REAL protests and REAL sit-ins, and REAL occupy?)

But one thing that I find completely, utterly unacceptable. Sit there and f-ing TAKE it. It is not good enough to vote them out 11 months from now. They have violated the Constitution and the rule of law in a thousand ways, repeatedly, and now are at the point where they just blatantly shove it in our faces.

Wait till November? No. It can’t be allowed.

I don’t *care* if impeachment fails. I don’t *care* if the media does their best to turn it all against us. Sometimes you have to stand up and do what’s right, no matter the cost. This is one of those times. And if the conservo-media does their job (which they won’t) then impeachment need not cost us any elections. But regardless, do what must be done.

Every week in England in 1943-1944, American bomber crews got into their B17′s, B24′s, and B25′s, knowing that 8-10% of them weren’t coming back. Liberty ship crews in 1939-1942 got on their ships knowing the Uboats might send 5-10% of them to a watery grave. Everybody who went to the shores on D-Day expected to die, and 12,000 did.

Why did they all go? And why won’t Republicans in Washington fight today, even just a little, to save our Republic?

For years, many conservatives have agitated for closed primaries, based on the simple principle that Republicans should choose the Republican nominee, and Democrats should choose the Democrat nominee.

And as long as conservatives have made that argument, lunkhead establishment types have made the claim that in closed primaries, might chose a true believer, a person who had no cross-over appeal. By having Democrats and independents participate in Republican primaries, we would be more likely to pick somebody who would be palatable to undecided voters.

To those who despise closed primaries, I give you Iowa, and Ron Paul.

Game. Set. Match.

The affirmative argument for closed primaries

Republicans should pick Republican nominees – it’s really this simple. Members of the high school football team pick the team captain. Included in those who don’t get a vote are non-athletes, and most certainly, members of the rival high school football team.

It’s not just red team against blue team – The Republican party actually stands for something fundamentally different than the Democrat Party. I disagree that we should pick as a nominee the person most like the other side.

It is possible to persuade, rather than pander – I believe that the percentage of voters who are entrenched, unpersuadable liberals is not 40% to 45%, but probably 25% to 30%. I belive that eloquently presented conservatism, coming from a credible and likable candidate, can not only persuade the undecided middle, but convert some of the liberals who have not seriously considered the baseline principles of conservatism and leftism. One generation ago, Ronald Reagan, a movement conservative, toppled the feckless Jimmy Carter, then steamrolled the next election, winning 59% of the vote and 49 states.

This election, more than any before it, can showcase the difference between left and right principles – Since 2007, Democrats have had their way in Congress. Since 2009, they’ve had their way in all government. Right before our eyes, we see the result of operating under the Left’s principles, and the result of unprecedented corruption and cronyism. Disastrous results for which the Left can only provide excuses and try to lay blame elsewhere.. This year, of all years, Republicans need not worry that they will offend undecideds by drawing a contrast. So, let this year be another test case like 1980, and see if the middle can be persuaded that our vision is better than that of the Left. We believe it is, or we wouldn’t be in this party now. would we?

There are bad people who take advantage — Open primaries allow not only unbelievers to have a voice, they invite meddling by those who mean us harm. It is a fact that most Democrats do not want Republicans to win elections. Allowing them to vote in our primaries means they can and will do their best to thwart the best interests of Republicans. In the current case, polls show that by and large, the Ron Paul voters are not Republicans and will not vote for another Republican in the highly likely event that Paul is not the nominee. Why then do we want them to participate in the Republican nomination process?

So, there it is. Let Republicans, and only Republicans, choose our nominee. Now and always. And thank you, Iowa and the PaulTards, for making my point for me.

Ok, Christmas is done. Santa came for the good ones, Christ Jesus had a happy birthday. A certain amount of after-Christmas business remains – gift cards to spend, sales, sales and more sales, and about 7,000 more bowl games, including the NCAA joke national championship that has clown team Alabama instead of powerhouse and rightful #2 Oklahoma State against Darth Miles and the Evil Empire centered in Red Stick, Louisiana. Many of you have this week off from work. Good for you.

However, play time is over. The REAL Evil Empire reigns over the United States, and they are fortifying their position while we sit around thinking the American people will see it happening and put a stop to it.

Let me repeat for emphasis. The statists know that in a fair election where the facts are widely understood in America, they will get clobbered good, and run out of Washington on a rail wearing tar and feathers. They know that.

And without bogging you down with details, they are hard at work making sure that the elections are not fair, and that the people are uninformed and misinformed to the maximum extent possible. They didn’t take Christmas off (Labor Day and May Day are when they celebrate their dieties, LOL).

So, you had your celebration. Now get back to work.

Credit where credit is due. I have been a very vocal critic of the Freshman Class of 2010, but this time they have gone and done something good. So, my hat is off.

The Senate deal was so manifestly silly and irresponsible — seriously, a 2-month-only change in the tax code, to go into effect 12 days from today, but it is supposed to save the nation — that conservatives and Freshmen just could not stomach it. It’s a little late to be finding a backbone, but hey, I’ll take it.

In the big March government “shutdown” showdown and the August debt ceiling showdown, Boehner and the House leadership ultimately coopted the Freshmen, leading them to assent to terrrible, terrible deals, convincing them that to take a stand would incur such media wrath, that the nation would be turned against them and they would lose their jobs, along with the House majority, in 2012. You can only imagine how much I hate Boehner’s guts, along with the rest of the House Establishment. But enough of that.

Today, the Freshmen found their voice. They torpedoed that bad deal. And it plumb warmed my heart to hear some of the biggest clowns in Washington crying over this as if the last tax hike had been repealed.

Wicked Witch of the West Nancy Pelosi – It’s just the ridiculous tea party Republicans who are holding up this tax cut for the American people and jeopardizing economic growth.
DNC Chairbitch Debbie Two-Names — extremism at its worst.
WaPo Village Idiot Dana Milbank wails in an OpEd called “Radical Republican Winterfest” — The sophomoric freshmen must have needed their barkeep to serve them another round.
Milbank pouts again — …House Republicans, after championing tax cuts for millionaires, would be voting against a tax cut for ordinary Americans.

All this coming from the bunch who jammed ObamaCare down the throats of “ordinary Americans” who did not want it, using parliamentary tricks, bribery, blackmail and media demagoguery in an 8-month marathon in which they were fully aware of public opinion. These people caused the Tea Party. And they weren’t all that concerned with the finances, freedoms, and well-being of “ordinary Americans” at that time, now where they?

[deep satisfied sigh.......]
I love my life.
